[Scribus] Is Scribus ready up to books?

I have been using Scribus for fliers and brochures and
plan to start working on a book soon. I remember a few
years ago there was some discussion on this list that
Scribus was not suitable for large documents, like
books. I see now that some books have been published
with Scribus. Have these problems been overcome?
