No need to be sorry, you were right :-)

Fink has packages for both scribus (using X11 graphics) and scribus-aqua 
(using aqua graphics and an app bundle). Both are at version 1.3.3.12, 
and both are building and working correctly on MacOSX 10.4 and 10.5, on 
ppc and on intel.
