Minor text issues will not be fixed, however, we simply cannot program forever
to keep the old system alive in all its glory. At some point we have to take
a hit and move on to better rendering and better glyph layout. There were
changes made in 1.3.0, and more in 1.3.4 and 1.3.5. I convinced Andreas to
write the new text system with 2 modes, old (ie rewrite the bugs of the old
system but in a stable, known way, in 1.3.4) and the new system will be a
user selectable option (coming in 1.3.6+).
For those that desperately need to keep layout 100% consistent, you can easily
keep old versions of Scribus around - dependencies have not changed that
much.
