First I had to create /usr/share/scribus
Then I executed:
ln -s /usr/lib/scribus/dicts/ /usr/share/scribus/dicts
Then I fired up a new instance of Scribus.
Still no hyphenation dictionary.
It is mentioned that the svn has cured the problem. Is this the
1.3.3.x svn or the 1.3.5 svn?
