[scribus] washed out printout

     I would have to suspect you have set one of the many
print related parameters in Scribus at some time, and just
forgotten about it.

     To check your picture and printers, try this... open the
picture... not in Scribus, but with a simple viewer from which
you can print... try to print the picture without any adjustments.
If some Scribus setting is causing your problem, this straight
print should be fine - not being affected by anything scribus related.

     So far as the PDF difference, this may have to do with the
way PDF handles embedded images ?
