[scribus] Feedback and ideas needed

I did:-
1) zoomed in and found the lines were less prominent but still there. The
font looks rather distorted too when zooming in
2) printed and the bold "l"s were there!
Something to do with my setup perhaps?

Usually this is just a display issue on your monitor. One way of
somewhat verifying this is to look at it in Adobe Reader with very high
zoom, in which case this apparent thickness of the l's should disappear.
Ultimately, printing on paper will show you the true results.
