[scribus] LaTeX frame and pdf export

With a LaTeX frame in my document I get this error message when
exporting to pdf/x-3:

          Object is a placed PDF

In another thread it is said:

Okay, it is rasterized. Is this the reason for the poor output of the
fonts? For example the horizontal line of the `e' gets lost among
others.
I would say this makes rendering LaTeX rather unusable. I hope I am
missing something.
