Not difficult. Whatever (decent) imposition tool you might use has a cli or a 
batch mode. So it’s generally a matter of:
$myimpositiontool opt1 opt2 optN my.pdf my_imposed.pdf

Not to mention when the customer calls you to change something, just to 
change, hit the export as PDF button, alt tab to the terminal window, up key 
& enter :)
