Not that I've ever tried it (I print my return address on a stack of envelopes
with a printing press and hand-write the recipient's address afterward as
required) but I've been under the impression that running a regular envelope
through a laser printer would seal the envelope shut due to the heat.

Or is my information out-of-date?
