Tell him Scribus is designed to work with round pixels and he must have 
one square one
which keeps getting stuck. Tell him there are a lot of programs which 
assume that the
user has round pixels so he may have this problem again.

To fix a square pixel, take a hammer and lightly tap the front of your 
screen.
