[scribus] importing SVGs into scribus (Was: Gimp is missing)

chances are big that a a .svg created by a newbie can be read into
scribus.
but she should probably save the file as standard SVG and not
inkscape's own version of SVG

while going through a png is indeed an option, i think that she should
first try to correctly import the SVG.
scribus can import SVGs and gets better and better at doing it!
