[scribus] old style numerals

Hello,

I need to typeset a book (100-130 pages) and want to give Scribus a try.
Normally I would use LaTeX, but this book needs a more playfull design.

When available, I want lowercase numbers. With OT fonts this appears to
be very hard in Scribus.  Using f-ligatures and small capitals is
similarly hard. 

This problem is recognised and apparently being worked on. I wonder how
the developments are progressing. Are there scripts, workarounds, or
real solutions in the making?
