Thanks for the info, I'll look into it later. My script is advancing nicely 
except for the problem I have with the textbox height (in another post with 
subject: while loop in python script crashes scribus) 

I was hoping I could avoid transporting the text from program to program 
(wiki -> openoffice -> scribus) but it is nice to have a backup plan. If I 
succeed I will send my entire script to the mailinglist.
