currently 1.3.3.14 is the stable release of scribus.


this is the version everybody, who doesn't have any reason to use 
something else, should use.


people with specific needs which are not met by 1.3.3.14 may already use 
1.3.6 (or any following version on the path to 1.4). but it's not an 
official stable version, yet.


only people who are deeply involved with the scribus project (like you 
are) should ever think about using 1.5svn.



so the situation is pretty easy: for "normal" end users, scribus 
1.3.3.14 is the version to use.
(apple users are no normal users: they should use 1.3.6)
