It would be a lot easier to do the Q&A as a separate text frame and set
it inline. Modifying a font is not simple unless you are familiar with
the process (and I'm not).

I note that the bug or feature request was filed nearly a year and a
half ago and there seems to have been no action.

The person posting that bug/request mentioned the need for two
characters in Spanish, but in English we need it too. For example, what
if the paragraph starts with a quote? For example:

"Yes, my dear" he said obediently.

Just having the quote mark as a drop cap would look ridiculous.

When this thread started I was surprised that Scribus can do only the
initial letter. (I don't use drop caps often.) I think even OOo can do
multiple characters in a drop cap paragraph. I wonder how much work it
would be to add the feature.
