I have a friend who, among other things, is a computer columnist. 
(http://www.jerrypournelle.com)  About three months after Win7 was 
released, he announced that every computer at Chaos Manor had been 
migrated from Vista to Win7.  I think that says quite a bit about their 
relative merits.
