[scribus] can't access 'property' menu/options

Hello All!  Me again!  Sorry, but I'm stuck once more.  When I am in a
text box and do the Mac version of a right click (ctrl click) I get
the usual drop down menu with 'properties' being the usual last item
on the list.  When I choose it nothing happens.  Is there some change
in how to access properties in this version of Scribus?  This always
worked in prior versions.  I've trashed and then downloaded Scribus
twice now thinking it was a problem with the download but same thing
is happening.  I will be unable to do my project without being able to
access properties.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!
