[scribus] 1.3.5.1. won't open previous file

I'm using 1.3.5.1 on a Mac OS X (10.6.3/ Intel Core 2 Duo) ... everything was  
working fine.

Tried to open the document (.sla) that I created last month (a newsletter)  
for this month and no matter how I try to open it, it crashes Scribus.

Any suggestions?
