scribus can already embed interactive elements in pdf: i haven't tried
yet (and i admit i have no use for it), but you can embed 3D
graphics into a scribus document and export it to PDF.

since adobe (and, probably also the PDF standard) does support embedding
multimedia content in PDFs, (sadly,?) trying to embed music in a scribus
file is not as absurd as it may seem at first sight.

well, at the end of the day it's still boils down to: it's currently
not possible to play music from a PDF file created by scribus.

and it may be better that way.
