In case you're interested, RL created a nice 3-fold brochure template for an earlier Scribus 1.2 RC release in 2004 - I am attaching it here, called Brochurre-1.sla, and I created one a couple of years ago specifically to take care of HP Officejet R65 non-printing margins, called Dépliant 2pp blanc.sla; I attach it also.

on top of what owen answered: hopefully, scribus won't ever do any 
imposition [1] . we need a free application for it and there was some 
work around podofo to create one.

DTP is about placing content on a page, not arranging pages for the 
printer. and it would be nice if we could keep it that way!
