Thanks, it looks like what I need.

I note at the end of the HOWTO there is a statement:

"Enhanced Features in 1.3.4+
See this article to learn about new enhancements to Text on a Path."

The 'Stair Step' feature looks useful for me, but I don't see it on
Scribus 1.3.8 that I'm using. Has it been removed?
