[scribus] Opening 64 bit files on 32 bit machines

There's no such thing as 32-bit and 64-bit SLA files. A file is a file, 
just like there are not 32-bit and 64-bit Word files.

This may be a version conflict, or may be Scribus thinking there is when 
there isn't.

Scribus versions 1.3.8, 1.3.7, or 1.3.6 can open anything from the 
1.3.3.x series, the last of which is 1.3.3.14, but 1.3.3.14 cannot open 
1.3.8 files.

I did see a problem with opening a file saved with 1.3.5 with a later 
version in the same series (1.3.7 I think).

I fixed this by opening the file in a text editor and changing the 
version label from 1.3.5 to 1.3.7.

Open the file with Notepad or Wordpad and check the second line of the 
file, which should look something like this:

<SCRIBUSUTF8NEW Version="1.3.3.14">

Let us know if this matches the version of Scribus you are trying to 
open the file with but still doesn't work. You can get away with editing 
1.3.3.13 to 1.3.3.14 in Notepad, but not 1.3.8 to 1.3.3.14.
