[scribus] pdf options

I'm using Linux, Ubuntu 10.10, and 1.4.0rc3.  When I exported my B&W pages
for my magazine today to a pdf, the resulting file had photos that were RGB
though I used greyscale images in my .sla file.  The print in the mag was
color, also.  Is there a way to insure the B&W images and type are greyscale
after the pdf is created?
