I can recall years ago a mention/request for this "feature", but I would 
agree that its utility seems doubtful. I think especially with the 
ability to preview the image in the dialog (and the Ctrl+I keyboard 
shortcut), what does drag-and-drop add?

One could, of course, do some esoteric things with Scripter.
