Well you could make a layer with a text frame.
1. Type text in that frame via Story editor. Make it large and bold.
(like 50 points Sans Serif Bold.)
2, Using the layers window duplicate that layer. Highlight the upper
layer and edit the text in the frame via the Story Editor.
3. Change the color to e.g., green using the bucket icon on the right
end of the icon bar. You may have to stretch the Story Editor window
to make the bucket icon appear.
4. In the layers window highlight the lower layer. Right click on the
text frame and choose properties.
5. In the properties window add .1 to the X position and .05 to the y
position.
6. Inspect the results and fiddle as necessary with the XY settings
in lower window.
Done.
If you want a blurred shadow I suggest you do it in Gimp and get the
resulitng png in an image frame. Gimp has a feature File->Create-
>logo->. Choose the logo effect you like. Delete the layers you don't
want and save.
There is a blur function in Image Effects but I don't know how to
apply it to a text frame or to a text frame converted to an image
frame.
