[scribus] Not an acceptable file format ???

Hello

I got caught out earlier today as I was surprised to find that Scribus
1.3.9svn (from Nov 2010) couldn't open a file created in Scribus
1.4.0rc6. This was also the case for a file created in 1.4.0rc4 too.

In theory the file formats haven't really changed in this period, so has
this message been added to protect us from the text rendering change
which came in around 1.4.0rc4? If so its quite annoying. I understand
why the text layout engine had to be changed, (although this itself will
cause us many problems) but as so many people are/were using Scribus
1.3.5+ series and on, compared to 1.3.3.13 for its many better features
and fixes its really going to break a lot of people's files they have
created just 6 months earlier !!

Is this really sensible behaviour ? I totally appreciate that 1.3.5+ and
1.4.0rc are not 'stable' releases, but as you know many users were using
it anyway as 1.3.3.13 is so old now, and that we were encouraged to use
it by many (including myself) on the mailing list.
