At the same time, one can hope for developing a relationship with 
contributors that helps them understand the point of requirements or 
recommendations, and they too must appreciate the work that someone else 
is doing to pull all this raw material together.

As we well know, much of the time people do what they do out of 
ignorance, and someone willing to do some work in a nonprofit setting 
will likely be willing to learn how to present that in such a way that 
it doesn't create extra work for others.
