Hi

I have to say that I've been using Scribus since version 0.4, and 
professionally since 1.2. Tables were an issue then and were 'in the 
pipeline' and on the roadmap since 2007 (ish), and have consistently 
(for good reason usually), been pushed back, ie qt4 changes, new text 
layout engine etc.

But actually using tables in version 1.3.9, is *really* painful, and 
really does need improving IMHO.
