Actually, when you add up more pages, you will see that only that 1st page
is not double-sided. When you add at least a 3rd one, you will see pages 2
and 3 together like you want. Then, adding up pages in pair will display
further spreads of 2 pages.
Another way to solve this is to select the option "Left page" in the "First
Page is" field in the New Document.
Finally, in an existing document you can go to 'Windows > Arrange Pages' and
change the "First Page is" settings to "Left Page".
