[scribus] Scribus Feature Suggestion

Similar, yes, but not quite the same. I like the idea of being able to "remove unused" and "import list from another document", but doesn't seem very feasible with the current implementation - Font management within Scribus (silly to say the least, as Scribus is a layout application, not a font manager) cannot be done while a document is open. I don't mind the long list of fonts under Available Fonts - it's actually nice to have the option of selecting any font that Scribus knows about. The problem is that it's currently very tedious for enabling/disabling large quantities of fonts in the list. My suggestion would alleviate this until a better longterm solution (such has having Scribus use only INSTALLED fonts instead of ALL fonts) could be implemented.

If say 3000 fonts are available (and the application currently has all fonts used by default), and I want to use say only 10 of them, I need to uncheck "Use Font" 2990 times. That's ridiculous. I should be able to click a Select All button, uncheck a Use Selected checkbox, select the 10 fonts I want to use, then click a Use Selected checkbox again. This would be MUCH faster than the current interface. (If multiple fonts are selected and some are used and some are not used, then the Use Selected checkbox would be checked and dimmed, the same way other applications work. Click the dimmed checkbox would use all the selected fonts and un-dim it. Clicking it again would uncheck the checkbox, not using the selected fonts.)
