[scribus] negative line spacing?

In my magazine TOC, I use a single text box formatted to justify right and
left.  Then put in data from the text file with the left column separated
by several space characters from the right column.  Then I merely add space
characters on each line between the two fields of data until the line
automatically wraps.  Take out the last space character and the line is
correctly formatted and the holes caused by justification on each line are
gone.
