You totally missed my point. Sorry.
This is the problem with turning the Merriam-Webster Dictionary or TeX 
into an infallible God. They aren't, and announc-ing is just wrong and 
ugly as a typographic hyphenation.

This just aligns with what Jason Jordan was saying.
