I don't have a 10.5/PPC machine to test on, but I have just successfully 
built scribus-aqua-1.4.1 with Fink on both MacOSX 10.4/PPC and 
10.5/Intel (It takes 3 hours to build scribus on my 10.4/G5, vs 5 
minutes on my laptop here). I am sure it builds on 10.5/PPC, too. If you 
get errors, please report the complete error message.

If this is scribus-related, we can try to solve it on this list. If it 
is a general problem with your Fink installation, the fink-beginners 
list <fink-beginners at lists.sourceforge.net> would be more adapted.
