We really need and are planning a reworking of the Story Editor, since 
it's clunky in so many ways. Because of the plans, I think this has led 
to no one having an interest in modifying SE, since it really needs a 
ground-up rewrite. We've also discussed whether whatever it is that SE 
does (and maybe there is little or nothing that it does uniquely) might 
simply be incorporated into editing in the main window, and do without 
SE altogether. One thing you have access to with SE is all of the text 
assigned to a frame, whether the frame is big enough to show it or not.
