Sorry a.l.e, I cant understand your suggestions. But let me tell the 
forum some more I have never used layers for the pages I suppose I 
should do so when I add graphics to them.

This problem file exported correctly to PDF.

As for the lock within the preferences it is in the lock position. 
However, that would not normally detour me from editing the text. I 
remember now that there is another lock somewhere else.
