[scribus] scribus Digest, Vol 50, Issue 32

Hi a.l.e and the rest of the list,
Ah, that's right. I actually mixed up what I'm actually trying to fix: I
want my LaTeX frames to be vectorized, since they otherwise look a bit
unsharp in the output PDF (and based on things I found on the net, the
embedding option is supposed to fix that issue).
Per Dave's instruction, I attempted to add both the stable and unstable
scribus.net/debian repositories. However, both complained of unmet
dependencies:
for unstable:
"The following packages have unmet dependencies:
scribus : Depends: libfontconfig1 (>= 2.9.0) but
2.8.0-3ubuntu9 is to be installed
Depends: libtiff4 (> 3.9.5-3~) but
3.9.5-2ubuntu1 is to be installed"
for stable:
"The following packages have unmet dependencies:
scribus : Depends: libpython2.6 (>= 2.6) but it is not
installable"
Would stable do for enabling the PDF/EPS embedding feature, or do I need
unstable as Dave was using? Do you have any hints for what I can do to
add the official debian repository and make it all work?
Thanks,
Shandolad
