[scribus] "Open Existing" dialog never displays anything

I assumed that you meant:

Edit | Preferences | General | Documents

When I do that and hit the "Change" button... I get a "Choose a Directory"
window that never populates.

That, presumably, is a big, fat, hairy clue to the cognoscenti.

PS FWIW, the actual entry currently in the Documents part of the dialog is my
home directory: /home/n7dr.
