Guess I'm too lazy to register at the site linked above. 

I've noticed that if you have a 32bit 1.4.1 Scribus installed along
side with the x64 1.4.2 svn, the latest shows 1.4.1 splashscreen while
loading. The process that is started is definitely 64-bit app.
