[scribus] main window persistently off-screen

Isn't there a setting in Preferences somewhere that determines how far from
the left side of the Scribus window the left document edge resides? I've
had the same problem in Linux/Scribus 1.3.8 or so, and believe I recall
finding a parameter in Preferences that had gotten out of a workable
range.
I have a similar problem that occurs about 4 times a year wherein the X and
Y coordinates change from the upper left corner of the page to the upper
left corner of the DOCUMENT! Most annoying but I've yet to learn exactly
where that setting is and, moreover, WHY it gets changed.
