Unless you money to burn for the likes of Adobe CSn, I agree.

I switched my modest DTP needs to Scribus 1.3.3.9 and Gimp a few years 
ago and have never felt the urge to go back to InDesign / Pagemaker.

Welcome !  The support here is great, and much better than I ever got 
from Adobe when paying for their software.
