There is no reason to use same version for different users and needs.

As for me, i create 2 PDF versions :
- one with max 300 dpi high quality low loss JPEGs (because no loss is useless but leads to huge PDFs)
this is for printer
- one with max 75dpi and medium quality medium loss JPEGs, that is allready much smaller
and that can be further reduced in size using the various tricks of the wiki.
