Looks interesting, and I find the code not so confusing - after all, 
it's Python, you like it or you hate it ;)

Thanks for the hint with your workflow, I will try it this way. The 
script gives a good idea of how to merge data from a file with a Scribus 
document, and that is what I wanted to try.
