Hi,
finally I succeeded on my original OS as well. It works very good! Thank
you for making it available.
Is it possible somehow to do something with my old Scribus documents, made
with 1.4.5? They are opened in the new version, but all the Hebrew texts
are mirrored, and the Right-To-Left switch just doesn't help.
Ale: you mentioned that I should add a ticket about my experiences. At the
end I succeeded to install by
cmake -DWANT_CPP11:BOOL=ON
(otherwise, scribus/text/index.cpp:17 threw an error that it didn't
recognize "cbegin")
and by installing a few other dependencies (qttools5-dev-tools,
qttools5-dev, qtdeclarative5-dev) that were not mentioned on neither of
these websites:
https://wiki.scribus.net/canvas/Building_SVN_versions_with_CMake#Ubuntu
https://wiki.scribus.net/canvas/Debian_Ubuntu_Building_From_Source
(The other problem about QStringList somehow disappeared, maybe by an
update of a complier.) Should I add a ticket with these informations? I
think it would be very useful to have also all the dependencies listed at a
single page, including the three additional.
All the best,
Binyomin
(sorry, my emails are sent in Hungarian [reverse] name order, so actually
Szántó-Várnagy is my family name)
