[scribus] Tables - can only place them, that's it

Hello,

I have been using Scribus for awhile now.  But I have never used tables.

I am starting to redesign our catalog, and there will be tables needed.

I can place a table with the correct number of rows and columns.

But, if I want to add text, or change the colors of the table, I have 
not figured out how to do this.

Can someone point me in the right direction?
