Edit > Master Pages
    {you are now editing the Master Page}
  create a small text block at bottom of master page
   double-click on text block to enter text entry mode
    Insert > Character > Page number
    add any other text or formatting you want at bottom of each page
   click on End Edit to leave master page and return to document
what you have entered on the Master Page will now occur on every page
in your document...
