Hi Peter, Hi everyone.
I tried mounting /usr/local via NFS on each client but no joy. I think it's a
library issue. The server must have different stuff from the clients. In
anycase I don't think that that's the way to go. The server runs Scribus
reasonably quickly but to ask it to run 18 clients too I feel is
unreasonable. Has anyone tried this?
Your last rpm certainly cut the install time. Dare I ask if you have one for
0.9.10? Is the rpm learning curve steep or do you think someone at my
pathetic level of Linux could get it going? It really is unreasonable of me
to ask you to do it for us each time.
Transparency. I did Edit > Preferences > General > Display > Use

I have text above a jpg and I want the text 50% transparent. Sorry to be so
thick as usual.
The same boat? Take my advice. Don't become a teacher!
Oh, sorry folks. Would it be easier if I split the thread into different
parts? Maybe the NFS stuff I should send to the SuSE list, not here. Or is
everyone bearing with me?
Cheers, Steve.
