I'm still in belief that lupdate marks strings "obsolete" even it 
shouldn't. Have you tried the procedure explained here earlier. Going to 
the root dir of Scribus cvs checkout and editing Scribus.pro file so 
that your ts file is in there (with full path) and then running "lupdate 
Scribus.pro". Now open your ts file with some text editor and remove all 
those type="obsolete" attributes and only after this edit the ts file 
with QT Linguist and lrelease and test it.
