hi!
after failing to install scribus 1.1.5 under RH8 (as archived here,
earlier) took your suggestions, especially on irc chat, to heart, and
spent a precious sunday installing PCQLinux2004, which is a fedora core
1 based distro with some bleeding-edge features.
download the tar.gz from your site, and ./configure displays the
following error
:
checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.0.2) (headers and
libraries) not found. Please check your installation!
#
argh! i do:
# rpm -qa qt
qt-3.2.3-0.2
can't figure this new hassle.
as a quick measure, i decide to download the fedora rpms on your site.
when i try to install it, i get the following error:
error: Failed dependencies:
liblcms.so.1 is needed by scribus-1.1.5-0.fdr.1
hmmm....
so i (madly, desparately) download the rh9 rpm, to get the same, exact
error.
then i download the tar.gz of littlecms from their site: lcms-1.12
and ./configure, make, make check, and make install that.
then i retry the scibus*rpm of both rh9 and fdr, with the same error.
meanwhile, i do have scribus-1.0.1-0
installed under fedora PCQLinux2004, but that's not what i want.
please help.
?
LL
