[Scribus] Re: build date not updated

Yes, but make is really 'make incremental'
whereas 'make clean' puts the compiler to work the whole thing from scratch.
I have a fast and a slow Linux box (the slow one is P-III, 500 MHz) and
it takes over an HOUR for it to churn through the compile. How about if
'make -f Makefile.cvs' or ' ./configure' regenerated the
'about_builddate.cpp' so a 'make clean' would not be necessary and
'make' would do its usual incremental make?
Perhaps this could be a reular feature of cvs itself (another bunch of
experts, to weigh in, no doubt! )("-)
