IIRC, a more sophisticated approach is already mentioned somewhere in 
the bug tracker (i.e. the ability to apply styles to almost everything, 
including frames). This might help to solve your problem easily, as soon 
as the new file format is introduced, but the people doing the real work 
(the developers) are more competent than I am to provide detailed 
informations.
